Sacrificial Alter

Suggestion:

Rare shrine that can spawn only in corrupted areas in merciless difficulty.

They are disabled until after the area has been cleared.

Allow the player/party to sacrifice 1 item at the alter.

The more powerful the item, the more powerful the monster that spawns. (increase in risk = increase in difficulty and increase in reward)

The alter can randomly summon any rare or unique monster from the game. And that monster will be corrupted (more powerful than its standard counterpart)...

Add unique bosses that can only be spawned by this alter with more powerful and enhanced corrupted item drops.

Have an account cool down on this shrine of 1 per hour.

Additionally, if a party member dies to this boss, no loot will drop for anyone (even if that person drops party).

Add a prompt to confirm when everyone is ready to begin combat.

Bump. I am really interested in some rational discourse with this idea.
Sounds kind of fun. Neat idea.

My only complaints are:

I don't like this. If one party member dies, but the rest can take the monster, should they not still get loot for slaying the monster? One party member dies, and the encounter is basically ruined for everyone. Why?

I don't see the need for a confirmation. If there is a confirmation, it should be for the item to be sacrificed. Once you commit to sacrifice an item, then the encounter should begin. Unless there is a choice that needs to be make, I don't think a confirmation is needed. Nowhere in Wraeclast do we have an "Are you ready?" dialog, and I don't see why this type of encounter would be any different.
TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.
